Studio B is located in a recently renovated historical facility that was originally designed and built by Belk's Kline Corp. in 1929. The large room (1st floor) features a 24 ft high ceiling with a 5000 sq ft open floor plan. Tucked inconspicuously into a sleepy North Carolina historic small town. Studio B is a true escape for recording artists. The studio shares a block in the historic downtown with a small inn, a gym, coffee shop, bakery, and restaurants. It's got everything an artist or band needs, while remaining free of the distractions, metropolitan cacophony, and pollution of a big city.
A 20 minute drive westward gets you to the edge of the 50,000 acre Uwharrie National Forest, home to one of the world's oldest mountain ranges, three rivers, lakes, hiking trails, camp grounds, and lots of outdoor activities. An even shorter drive eastward gets you to Carthage, NC, the Moore County seat. Here, visitors enjoy browsing the numerous antique shops filled with items that date all the way back to the days when the Cape Fear basin was settled by Scottish immigrants.
Robbins is only 20-30 minutes away from the Southern Pines/Pinehurst scene but also nestled in its own natural beauty. It also has over 30 golf courses very nearby. As it is a bit further west, Robbins has a higher concentration of deciduous trees, which serve up a colorful backdrop for any outdoor activity in autumn.
